Hon. E. Saravanapavan,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether there has been any kind of activity conducted on relation to mental health by the Ministry of Health in the Northern Province after June 2010 ; and
(ii) if so, the details of such activities?
(b) Is he aware that the percentage of the incidence of committing suicide has increased in the Northern Province after June, 2010?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the information related to the increase in the incidence of committing suicide in the Northern Province ;
(ii) whether special steps have been taken to arrest the increase in the tendency to commit suicide ;
(iii) if so, what those steps are ; and
(iv) of the reasons if such special steps have not been taken?
(d) If not, why?
