1571/2012: RENOVATION OF GA/SEEVALI MAHA VIDYALAYA: ALLOCATION

Hon. Buddhika Pathirana, — To ask the Minister of Education,—

(a) Is he aware that as a result of the run-down roof and walls of a building that houses four classrooms in Ga/Seevali Maha Vidyalaya, Ethkandura belonging to the Elpitiya Zonal Education Office of the Galle District, the students of the aforesaid school have to carry out their educational activities under highly insecure conditions?

(b) Will he inform this House—

(i) whether plans have been made to repair the aforesaid building promptly;

(ii) if so, the financial allocation set aside for the purpose; and

(iii) the date, if renovation activities are to be started?

ගරු නියෝජ්‍ය කථානායකතුමනි, අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මා එම ප්‍රශ්නයට පිළිතුර දෙනවා. පිළිතුර මෙසේයි.

(අ) ඔව්.

(ආ) (i) නැත. සැලසුම් කර ඇතත් එය ඉටු කිරීමට සුදුසු වාතාවරණයක් නැති බව දකුණු පළාත් අධ්‍යාපන ලේකම්ගේ ලිපිය මඟින් දන්වා ඇත.

(ii) ඇස්තමේන්තු මුදල රුපියල් මිලියන හතරකි.

(iii) පහත සඳහන් හේතුව නිසා අදාළ නොවේ.

දකුණු පළාත් අධ්‍යාපන ලේකම්ගේ ලිපිය අනුව මෙම ගොඩනැඟිල්ල අලුත්වැඩියාව 2012 වසරේ සැලැස්මට ඇතුළත් කර තිබූ නමුත් "එක් ගමකට එක් වැඩක්" යටතේ ක්‍රීඩා පිටිය සංවර්ධනය වන බැවින් එම ගොඩනැඟිල්ල කඩා ඉවත් කරන බැව් විදුහල්පති විසින් දුරකථනයෙන් කරන ලද දැන්වීම පරිදි සැලැස්මෙන් ඉවත් කරන ලදි. අවශ්‍යතාවය පරිදි එම ගොඩනැඟිල්ල ඉවත් කරන්නේ නම්, ඒ වෙනුවට 80'x20' ගොඩනැඟිල්ලක් 2013 වසරට ලබා දීමට අපේක්ෂා කරන බව දන්වා ඇත.

(ඇ) අදාළ නොවේ.
