Hon. Hector Appuhamy,— To ask the Minister of Environment—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that an illegal gravel mining is taking place at No.638 – Ranawarapitiya Grama Niladhari Division in Saliyawewa of Karuwalagaswewa Divisional Secretariat; and
(ii) separately, of the measures taken and expected to be taken by the Ministry to halt the aforesaid illegal gravel mining?
(b) If not, why?
