Hon. John Amaratunga,— To ask the Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) whether steps were taken to build a housing project named “Nila Sevana” close to Ragama town for the purpose of providing houses for public sector employees ;
(ii) if so, the date on which it was commenced ;
(iii) the number of houses that have been planned to be built under the proposed housing project ;
(iv) if the construction work of the aforesaid project has already been started the number of houses of which construction work has been completed by now ; and
(v) the proposed date by which the construction work of the aforesaid housing project will be completed?
(b) If not, why?
