780/2020 Hon. K. Kader Masthan,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Urban Development & Housing,— Is he aware that houses were provided to homeless people under the housing project that was operative in Vavuniya district under the then Ministry of Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs? Will he inform this House of— the number of beneficiaries that were identified in the year 2019 to be provided with houses from among the 42 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Divisional Secretariat Division of Vavuniya; the number of houses provided to each of the aforesaid Grama Niladhari Division up to now, separately; and the names of the aforesaid beneficiaries of houses? Will he inform this House of— the basis on which houses are allocated to each Grama Niladhari Division; the factors that were used as a basis when allocating houses to the original inhabitants of Kallikulum Grama Niladhari Division and to those that were settled there later ; the steps that will be taken to solve the problems that have arisen when allocating the aforesaid houses the date on which houses will be provided to the persons who have not received houses yet ? If not, why?
