Mayantha Dissanayake,— To ask the Minister of Education,— Will he inform this House— of the number of school buildings that have been started to construct under the ‘nearest school is the best school’ project initiated by the previous Government in each district separately; of the number of buildings given for each school in each of the aforesaid districts separately; of the number of buildings that have been completed out of the aforesaid buildings; of the number of buildings that have not been completed; and the amount of money spent for that? Will he also inform this House— whether the aforesaid project has been stopped at present; and if so, the reason for that? If not, why?
