546/2020 Hon. Chandima Weerakkody,— To ask the Minister of Water Supply,— (a)Is he aware that people living in the electorates of Baddegama, Ambalanthota, Benthara-Elpitiya, Karandeniya and Balapitiya are facing a severe shortage of drinking water? (b) Will he inform this House— (i) whether allocations will be made from the upcoming budget for the second phase of Baddegama Water supply scheme as a solution for the aforesaid matter; (ii) if so, the amount is; and (iii) the date of which, a solution will be provided for the shortage of drinking water experienced by aforesaid areas?(c) If not, why?
