Thushara Indunil Amarasena,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,— Is he aware that— a research has been conducted by the National Agriculture Information and Communication Centre regarding the use of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizer in the farming lands of Sri Lanka; and Sri Lanka is one of the countries at the forefront among countries that use pesticides, herbicides and fertilizer for cultivation? Will he inform this House of the measures that will be taken by the Ministry to minimize the use of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizer in cultivation? If not, why?
