448/2020 Hon. (Dr.) Kavinda Heshan Jayawardhana,— To ask the Minister of Education,— Will he inform this House— the number of Madrasa schools in operation at present in Sri Lanka; and the addresses of locations where these schools are situated? Is he aware that there is an intense social dialogue in society about these Madrasa schools subsequent to the Easter Sunday attacks in the year 2019? Will he also inform this House— the steps to be taken by Ministry to regulate those Madrasa schools; and the stand of the incumbent government with regard to these schools? If not, why?
