434/2020 Hon. Shantha Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Health,— (a) Whether she admits that the dengue disease has shown an increase on various occasions in Sri Lanka? (b) Will she inform this House— (i) of the number of lives lost in year 2019 due to dengue disease; (ii) whether a programme will be carried out at national and divisional level to eradicate dengue disease; (iii) whether she admits that a group of labourers had been recruited for the divisional dengue eradication programme; and (iv) if so, whether there is a plan to obtain their service continuously? (c) If not, why?
