Hon. Tissa Attanayake,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House separately of the names addresses and marks obtained by students who were in the waiting list and admitted to school and students who were not admitted to the school though their names were in the waiting list subsequent to the interviews held for the admission of students for Grade One of Vihara Maha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Kiribathgoda for the year 2010?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the names, addresses, and marks obtained and the special reason of admission of the five students who were admitted to the said school on the special orders of the officials of the Ministry of Education in 2010 ;
(ii) the names, addresses and marks obtained by the 18 students who obtained low marks at the interview and admitted by the principal on the orders of the officials of the Ministry of Education in the months of October and November 2010, in total violation of the circular of the secretary of the Ministry of Education ?
(c) Will he state whether the officials of the Ministry and the principal who admitted children to the school as stated above in violation of the circular of the secretary to the Ministry of Education and the policies of the Minister will be punished under the Bribery and Corruption Act or any other law ?
(d) If not, why?
