Hon. M. T. Hasen Ali,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) Mr. A.M. Ismail (R.P.C. 20302) residing at No. 343/2, M.P.C.S. Lane, Sammanturai No. 3, was suspended from service for being late in informing his inability to report for duty after being bitten by a snake while being attached to the Pothuwil police station on secondment from the Sammanthurai police station ; and
(ii) the inquiries on the appeals seeking his reinstatement has now been completed but he has still not been reinstated despite a written recommendation for the reinstatement of Mr. Ismail made to the Deputy Inspector General of Police of the Eastern Province (South) through letter No. S/2/1/380/09 dated 05/06/2009 by the Senior Superintendent of Police of Ampara?
(b) If so, will he inform this House whether action will be taken to reinstate Mr. Ismail, who has led an exemplary life without engaging in criminal or terrorist activities during the period under interdiction, with effect from the year 1998?
(c) If not, why ?
