Velu Kumar,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,— Is he aware that he Bopitiya Estate is an estate belonging to the Janatha Estate Development Board situated within the Deltota Divisional Secretariat Division in the Kandy District? Will he inform this House— how many divisions belonged to this Estate at the time of reformation of the state-owned estates in the year 1992; what the names of such divisions were; what the total extent of fully-cultivated land of the Estate is; whether there have been abandoned divisions of the Estate; and if so, of the extent of such divisions? Will he also inform the House separately— whether lands and buildings belonging to this Estate had been given to the external party / private sector during the period 1992–2015; what those details are; and of the extent of cultivated and non-cultivated lands according to the land survey taken last? If not, why?
