Hon. Velu Kumar,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs and Minister of Urban Development & Housing,—
(a) Is he aware that the National Housing Development Authority has commenced the “Reawakening Village Programme” in the Waithalawa estate owned by the State Plantations Corporation situated in Theldeniya Divisional Secretariat of Kandy district?
(b) Will he inform this House, separately—
(i) the number of each Village Reawakening Housing programmes, commenced on the above Estate under the said programme; and
(ii) the number of houses, each Village Reawakening Housing programme consist of?
(c) Will he also inform this House, separate—
(i) the amount of money agreed to each recipient of houses for constructing a house;
(ii) the loan portion out of the total amount of money that has been made available;
(iii) the donation portion out of the total amount of money that has been made available; and
(iv) the amount of money that has been made available up to now?
(d) Will he also inform this House whether steps will be taken to complete this project by making the balance amount of money available to each recipient of houses?
(e) If not, why?
