Hon. Sivagnanam Sritharan,— To ask the Minister of Trade,—
(a) Is he aware that the commercial building of Lanka Sathosa Ltd. situated at the centre of the Killinochchi town has been constructed without obtaining proper approval?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the institution which owns the land in which the aforesaid building is situated;
(ii) whether the land in which the aforesaid building is situated has been leased out; and
(iii) the current owner of the aforesaid building?
(c) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether the approval for the construction has been obtained from Karachchi Pradeshiya Saba following the proper methodology;
(ii) the details in regard to calling quotations if the construction was done with public spending; and
(iii) the cost incurred for the construction?
(d) If not, why?
