Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance,— Will he inform this House— whether there is a methodology to regulate the quality of toddy, which is used to produce vinegar; and if so, of the aforesaid methodology? Will he admit that— artificial toddy is used to produce vinegar; and the use of artificial toddy with chemical toxins is a threat to the health of people? Will he also inform this House— whether he mentions the steps that will be taken to prevent the use of artificial toddy to produce vinegar; and the short term and long term diseases that can be contracted due to the use of vinegar produced using artificial toddy? If not, why?
