Hon.Tissa Attanayake,— To ask the Minister of Land and Land Development,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the extent of land acquired by the Divisional Secretary of Minipe in Kandy district from 2000 to 2008 under the State Lands ( Recovery of possession) Act, the names of the owners of those lands, their addresses and Grama Niladhari Divisions ;
(ii) whether compensation has been paid by the National Highways Sector Project of the Ministry of Highways for the building or land where Mr. G.M. Punchibanda of Pallewatta Grama Niladhari division was residing or for a well in that land which was subjected to recovery of possession within the aforesaid period ;
(iii) if so, the amount paid as compensation ?
(b) Will he admit that Mr. Punchibanda has obtained electricity supply for that land using forged documents and that he has submitted an application for the approval of Land Commissioner General to obtain a license for that land ?
(c) Will he state whether action will be taken—
(i) to recover the money paid as compensation to Mr. Punchibanda in recovering the possession of land;
(ii) against the officials who advised and approved the provision of a license for the aforesaid land in an irregular manner, the payment of compensation for property on it and the supply of electricity ?
(d) If not , why?
