02/2020 Hon.Hesha Withanage,- To ask the Minister of Trade,- (a) will he inform this House, (i) the countries from which Tinned Fish is imported to this country; (ii) the companies in this country, which import those Tinned Fish? (b) will he also inform this House, (i) the instances when Tinned Fish unfit for human consumption were imported in 2019; (ii) the companies that imported such Tinned Fish and the quantities imported, separately; (iii) whether the permission of the Consumer Affairs Authority has been granted for the relevant imports; (iv) the steps taken in relation to the imported Tinned Fish, that was unfit for consumption ; (v)If Tinned Fish unfit for consumption had been imported before 2019, the companies that imported them at such instances? (c)If not, why?
