To ask the Minister of Economic Development,— Is he aware that eventhough Mr. M.J.M. Uvais residing at No. 569/49B, Bandaranayake Place, Thihariya in the Attanagalla Divisional Secretariat Division of Gampaha district and A.C. Noor Naima (75 years of age) an elderly dependent on him are members of a low income family, they have not yet been provided with the Samurdhi assistance? Will he state whether steps will be taken to provide the Samurdhi assistance without delay to Mr. Uvais and his dependents who live amidst various difficulties as he does not have a permanent job? If not, why?
