Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation,—(1)
(a) Will he state—
(i) whether steps have been taken during the period of previous government to construct an airport in Mahaberiyatenna, Digana in Kandy district;
(ii) if so, the amount of money that has been planned to spend for that;
(iii) the number of acres of land that have been acquired for that project; and
(iv) the amount of money spent for construction work and land acquisition as of today?
(b) Will he also state—
(i) whether this project will be continued;
(ii) if so, the amount of money expected to be spent for that; and
(iii) the date of completion according to the schedule?
(c) If not, why?
