Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Healthcare and Indigenous Medical Services,—
(a) Will she inform this House—
(i) of the number of medical centres that have been registered in Sri Lanka under the names of doctors; and
(ii) of the numbers of such medical centres according to the basis of their registration, i.e. whether as full-time or part-time, separately?
(b) Will she also inform this House—
(i) of the date on which a census was last conducted in respect of the numbers of private medical centres belonging to doctors;
(ii) whether steps will be taken to conduct a census again; and
(iii) if so, the date on which it will be done?
(c) Will she state—
(i) what legal measures can be taken against running a private medical centre without a certificate of registration; and
(ii) the number of unregistered medical centres that have been brought before the law during the past two years?
(d) If not, why?
