Hon. Anura Priyadharshana Yapa,— To ask the Minister of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of Divisions for which vacancies for the post of Registrar of Births and Deaths have been gazetted;
(ii) of the recruitment procedure for the said posts of Registrar;
(iii) whether arrangements have been made to appoint one Additional Registrar of Births and Deaths for four Grama Niladhari Divisions;
(iv) if so, why;
(v) of the number of Medical Registrars for Births and Deaths appointed to the main hospitals and the number of hospitals; and
(vi) whether a methodology is being implemented to change the tradition in recruiting for the post of Registrar?
(b) If not, why?
