Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,— To ask the Minister of Highways & Road Development and Petroleum Resources Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether a pedestrian space is available at present along the roads leading to Kohuwala junction;
(ii) whether the situation got aggravated due to heavier traffic flow;
(iii) of the steps that have been taken by the Road Development Authority (RDA) in this regard since 2016;
(iv) whether expansion of the above mentioned roadways has been put off because the land the adjacent to those roadways belong to politicians and Lyceum College; and
(v) whether he will make a statement in this regard?
(b) If not, why?
