Hon. Shantha Bandara,— To ask the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he admits that a severe drinking water problem prevails in Kurunegala district;
(ii) of the major drinking water projects implemented to address that;
(iii) whether he is aware of the fact that Polgahawela, Pothuhera, Alawwa water project is in operation;
(iv) if so, of the Divisional Secretariat Divisions covered by that; and
(v) whether steps will be taken to accelerate the work of those projects?
(b) If not, why?
