Hon. Kanaka Herath,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of aeroplanes of Sri Lanka Airlines; and
(ii) separately, of the period for which aforesaid each aeroplane has been used?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) separately, of the period for which the aeroplanes that were returned to the respective Airlines at the completion of lease agreements had been used;
(ii) whether the aeroplanes older than the ones which were returned are still being used by Sri Lankan Airlines under lease agreements;
(iii) if so, of the reasons for retaining older aeroplanes this long; and
(iv) of the criteria adopted in such retention?
(c) If not, why?
