To ask the Minister of Livestock and Rural Community Development,— Will he state separately— the number of farmers engaged in poultry farming for the production of chicken and the production of eggs ; the amount of chicken and eggs produced monthly ; and the subsidies granted by the government for poultry farming and the amount of money spent for it annually ; with respect to each district in the Eastern Province? Will he inform this House of— the programmes that are expected to be implemented by the government in time to come in order to enhance the production of eggs and the production of chicken in each district of the Eastern Province ; and the amounts of money that are expected to be spent by the government for each district in order to implement the aforesaid programmes? If not, why?
