Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether companies involved in tea and rubber industries have been granted a two year tax exemption in accordance with the proposal No. 161 of the 2016 budget;
(ii) whether the list of companies that the tax exemption was granted will be submitted, according to the aforesaid proposal; and
(iii) the tax revenue lost by the government by granting the aforesaid tax exemption?
(b) If not, why?
