Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development, Vocational Training & Skills Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) in terms of proposal No. 174 of the Budget 2016, whether he explains of the manner in which Rs. 2000 Million that was allocated for supplementary programmes under National Environmental conservation programme, was spent in year 2016 ;
(ii) of the “supplementary programmes” for which financial allocations were made, in terms of the aforesaid proposal; and
(iii) of the institutions which held the responsibility in aforesaid supplementary programmes?
(b) Will he also inform this House in terms of aforesaid budget proposals, separately, of the amount of money spent on—
(i) protection of environmental equilibrium,
(ii) sustainable land management;
(iii) conservation of biological resources;
(iv) environmental pollution control; and
(v) protection of forest resources?
(c) If not, why?
