Hon. Thushara Indunil Amarasena,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the date on which the ‘Govisetha Lottery’ was started;
(ii) the primary objectives thereof;
(iii) separately, the income generated annually from the sale of the said lottery from its inception up to now;
(iv) of the said income, the amount given as prizes annually;
(v) the amount spent for the welfare of the farmer community; and
(vi) the measures to be taken by the Ministry to spend a higher amount for the welfare of the farmer community?
(b) If not, why?
