Hon. Thushara Indunil Amarasena,— To ask the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he admits that Thalaseemia patients have been reported from every Divisional Secretariat division in the North Western Province at present;
(ii) the Thalaseemia prevention unit of the National Thalaseemia’s Centre attached to the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital is rendering a great service to those patients;
(iii) whether he is aware that, that unit has not received required human resources and other physical resources including vehicles; and
(iv) of the steps taken by the Ministry to provide the physical and human resources required to that unit?
(b) If not why?
