Hon. S. Shritharan,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) there is a national school called Kili/Mulangavil Maha Vidyalaya in Poonagari Divisional Secretariat Division in Kilinochchi district; and
(ii) it is the Kili/Mulangavil Maha Vidyalaya that has encountered much trouble due to the shortage of teachers and non-academic staff and the shortage of desks and chairs and other resources, out of the two national schools in Kilinochchi district?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the names of the Principal, Deputy Principal, teachers and the members of the non–academic staff of aforesaid school;
(ii) the reasons for not filling the vacancies on the minor staff of aforesaid school; and
(iii) whether the educational activities of the students can be promoted by not taking action to fill these vacancies?
(c) Will he also inform this House—
(i) the date on which the building requirements of this school will be fulfilled;
(ii) the date on which the scarcity of desks and chairs will be completely met; and
(iii) the date on which action will be taken to fill the vacancies of the staff of this school?
(d) If not, why?
