Hon. Bimal Rathnayake, — To ask the Minister of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports, —
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) a security deposit of Rs. 500,000/- is obtained from workers migrating for employment in Korea through the Foreign Employment Bureau; and
(ii) it poses a major problem to young men and women with economic difficulties when they migrate to Korea for employment?
(b) Will he inform this House whether steps will be taken to repeal this law?
(c) If not, why?
