Hon. Indika Anuruddha Herath,— To ask the Minister of Education—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of government schools situated throughout the country;
(ii) of the number of international schools situated throughout the country;
(iii) of the number of teachers recruited for national schools from
year 2015 to 2017;
(iv) of the number of teachers recruited for provincial schools from year 2015 to 2017; and
(v) of the number of teachers who were evaluated from the external and internal evaluation scheme in the first half of year 2016?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the money allocated from the 2016 budget to establish teachers’ quarters / staff rooms in rural and divisional schools; and
(ii) the progress of the project?
(c) If not, why?
