Hon. Ananda Aluthgamage,— To ask the Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of domestic airports;
(ii) the locations of those domestic airports;
(iii) the number of aircrafts that are used for domestic flights; and
in Sri Lanka at present, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the steps that have been taken to develop domestic flight facilities since the government of Good Governance came to power?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether there is a possibility to implement a Cable car project in Sri Lanka;
(ii) if so, whether locations where such Cable cars can be used, have been identified;
(iii) if so, what those locations are; and
(iv) the steps that have been taken to commence this project;
since such cable cars have been set up in other countries in order to attract more tourists to places of interest to tourists?
(d) If not, why?
