Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House in relation to years 2015 and 2016 separately–
(i) of the value of the profits in US dollars that were generated from foreign investments in Sri Lanka and were withdrawn from the country during the aforesaid years;
(ii) of the extent of the impact that were caused to the value of the rupee as a result of the withdrawal of the profits in that manner; and
(iii) of the benefit that Sri Lanka received through employment opportunities and the other benefits received from each investment?
(b) If not, why?
