Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration & Disaster Management,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) nearly 30 families living at Kiribathgala Kanda in Pelmadulla were displaced due to the landslide occurred in the area; and
(ii) it has been decided to provide alternative lands for the affected families from Dombagammana area situated 20 kilometers away from this village ?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether it is admitted that they have requested lands to be provided from the Kiribathgala state plantation situated close to the village instead of the lands provided from distant areas; and
(ii) if so, whether measures will be taken to provide lands for them from the Kiribathgala state plantation?
(c) If not, why?
