Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayatissa,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the total number of officers presently holding the post of Sub Inspector of Police at Sri Lanka Police Department;
(ii) of the period of service after which they should promoted to the post of Inspector of Police according to the recruitment procedure; and
(iii) whether promotions have been given to the Sub Inspectors of Police who have completed the stipulated period of service?
(b) If not, why?
