Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons and Co-operative Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the quantity of chicken required for the monthly consumption of this country;
(ii) of the monthly chicken production of this country?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the countries from which chicken is imported to Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the quantity of chicken imported to Sri Lanka, monthly;
(iii) of the countries to which the chicken is exported; and
(iv) of the quantity of chicken exported, monthly?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the areas where the farms that the chicken is produced, are mostly found;
(ii) of the production cost of a kilo of chicken;
(iii) of the stock price of a Kilo of chicken in the market by now; and
(iv) of the assistance provided by the government for chicken production and the sale?
(d) If not, why?
