Hon. Anura Dissanayaka,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of Agriculture instructors in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the recruitment procedure followed to recruit them; and
(iii) of the qualifications required to recruit persons to Agriculture instructor grade and other relevant grades?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) separately of the number of Agriculture Instructors that should be there in each province;
(ii) the number of Agriculture instructors recruited for the Uva Province;
(iii) whether there exists a similarity between trained Agriculture Instructors and Agriculture Diploma holders;
(iv) the qualifications required to be recruited to the trained Agriculture Instructor grade; and
(v) whether there is a procedure to recruit Agriculture Diploma holders to the post of Agriculture Instructor?
(c) If not, why?
