0609/’10 Hon.Mohan Priyadarshana De Silva,— To ask the Minister of Indigenous Medicine,— Will he inform this House — of the number of the types of herbs that were imported to this country in the years 2008 and 2009 to meet the local medical needs; the total amount of money spent for importing the aforesaid herbs in the above mentioned years? Will he submit to this House — whether there is a programme which is being implemented at present for growing these herbs in this country; if so, the amount of money that has been spent by now for the relevant projects? If not, why?
