Hon.Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena,— To ask the Minister of Public Enterprise & Kandy City Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that the aviation services carried out under
Mihin Lanka Ltd. have been acquired by the Sri Lankan Airline Ltd. since 30.10.2016;
(ii) of the number of Mihin Lanka employees enrolled to Sri Lankan Airline Ltd. in parallel to it and their names and positions;
(iii) of the number of Mihin Lanka employees whose service was terminated and their names and positions;
(iv) of the amount paid as compensation to each employee separately,whose service was terminated;
(v) of the names and positions of the persons who have been employed after 31.12.2016;
(vi) of the number of persons who served as consultants till 31.12.2016;
(vii) of the group of persons mentioned in (vi) above, how many have been paid with salaries for the upcoming months, the compensations, wages or allowances paid to them;
(viii) of the number of employees who have appealed due to not receiving adequate compensation; and
(ix) whether they will be provided with outstanding compensation?
(b) If not, why?
