Hon. Ashoka Priyantha,— To ask the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) a special fund was established in year 2009 with the objective of eradicating Thalassemia from the North Western Province by
year 2020; and
(ii) although a Special Investigation Committee was appointed to look into the misuse of more than 10 million rupees of that fund, its report is yet to be published?
(b) if so, will he inform this House, the measures that will be taken by the Ministry against the relevant persons after publishing the investigation report?
(c) If not, why?
