Hon. Ashoka Priyantha,— To ask the Minister of Women and Child Affairs,—
(a) Will she inform this House—
(i) the number of child abuse incidents reported from Puttlam and Kurunegala districts in the North Western Province from the year 2010;
(ii) the names of the divisional secretariat divisions from which the aforesaid incidents were reported;
(iii) the steps taken by the National Child Protection Authority in regard to the aforesaid incidents; and
(iv) the steps expected to be taken by the Ministry in the future to minimize the incidents of child abuse that would occur in the North Western Province?
(b) If not, why?
