Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he accepts that with the decentralized funds of the Members of Parliament, roofing sheets were distributed free, among the low income earning families who are residing in the Divisional Secretariat divisions;
(ii) whether distribution of roofing sheets by the Members of Parliament with the decentralized funds, has been banned;
(iii) If so, of the reasons led for aforesaid situation; and
(iv) whether aforesaid ban will be lifted and measures will be taken to distribute roofing sheets through members of Parliament, as it used to be?
(b) If not, why?
