The Hon. Arundika Fernando was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled "Institute of Sri Lanka Professional Psycho Social Work (Incorporation)".

The Hon. Hunais Farook was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled "Al-Iman Foundation (Incorporation)".


Main Business of the House for Today

Following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 4 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House:-

• Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (Amendment) Bill
• Tax Appeals Commission (Amendment) Bill – with amendments
• Two Orders under the Sri Lanka Export Development Act


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Baseless allegations regarding abduction problems of students” was moved by the Hon. Ajith Kumara.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1745 Hrs. until 1330 Hrs. on Friday 20th January 2012.
