Hon. (Mrs.) Saroja Savithri Paulraj, Minister of Women and Child Affairs replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Sajith Premadasa under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 03.02.2026 regarding functioning of National Commission on Women.
Privilege
The Privilege motion that the question of privilege arising out of the matter raised by the Hon. Riyas Farook, M.P. on 05th February, 2026 in Parliament to the effect that his privileges have been infringed, moved by the Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament, was referred to the Committee on Ethics and Privileges in terms of the provisions of Standing Order 118 of the Parliament.

Main Business of the House for Today

(ii) Resolution under the Customs Ordinance
(iii) Regulations under the Motor Traffic Act
Motion at the Adjournment Time
Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Implementation of zero corruption programme” was proposed by the Hon. (Mrs.) Thushari Jayasingha, Attorney at Law, Member of Parliament.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1745 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Thursday 19th February 2026.
