Presentation of Bills
The Hon. Chief Government Whip moved the following Bills entitled-
(i) Gambling Regulatory Authority - to provide for the establishment of the Gambling Regulatory Authority; for the repeal of the Betting on Horse-Racing Ordinance (Chapter 44), Gaming Ordinance (Chapter 46) and the Casino Business (Regulation) Act, No. 17 of 2010; and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
(ii) Bills of Exchange (Amendment) - to amend the Bills of Exchange Ordinance (Chapter 82).
(iii) The Hon. Minister of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment moved the Bill entitled
“Samurdhi (Amendment)”
to amend the Samurdhi Act, No. 1 of 2013.
Main Business of the House for Today
Regulations under the Convention Against Doping in Sports Act (appearing as Item No. 1 of today’s Order Paper)
was approved by the House.
