Presentation of Bills

Gramodaya Mandala Fund (Amendment)

The Hon. Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils moved the Bill to amend the Gramodaya Mandala Fund Act, No.28 of 1982.


The Hon. Lalith Dissanayake was granted leave to introduce the following Bills:-

1. Anuradhapura Sri Pushpadana Development Foundation (Incorporation)
2. Organization for the Creation of Balana Buddha Statue (Incorporation)


Main Business of the House for Today

The following items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 4 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House:-

(i) Supplementary Sum - Head 123 - Programme - 02 (Ministry of Urban Development and Sacred Area Development)

(ii) Supplementary Sum - Head 105 - Programme - 02 (Ministry of Nation Building and Estate Infrastructure Development)

(iii) Supplementary Sum - Head 166 - Programme - 02 (Ministry of Water Supply and Drainage)

(iv) Supplementary Sum - Head 117 - Programme - 02 (Ministry of Highways)


Motion at Adjournment Time

Motion at Adjournment Time on “Protection of Brass and Copper Industries” was moved by the Hon. N.D.N.P. Jayasinghe.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1624 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Thursday 22nd October 2009.
