Main Business of the House for Today

The following items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 5 of today’s Order Paper) were moved as follows:-

(i) Employees’ Provident Fund (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Bill
was passed by the House with amendments.

(ii) Wariyapola Rajamaha Vihara Development Foundation (Incorporation) Bill
Second Reading passed and referred to the Standing Committee (Legislative) “B”.

(iii) Serendib Educational Trust (Incorporation) Bill
Considered and passed by the House.

(iv) Sammanthurai Thableekul Islam Arabic College (Incorporation) Bill
Considered and passed by the House.

(v) Future World Organization (Incorporation) Bill
Considered and passed by the House.


Motion at Adjournment Time

Motion at Adjournment Time on “Recent Issues on Education” was moved by the Hon. R.M. Ranjith Madduma Bandara.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1537 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Tuesday 08th September 2009.
