Presentation of Bills

Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka Bill

The Minister of Trade, Marketing Development, Co-operatives and Consumer Services moved the Bill to provide for the establishment of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and of a Council of the Institute which shall be responsible for the management of its affairs; to provide for the registration of members of the Institute and to specify criteria for and the maintenance of professional standards and discipline by members of the institute; and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.


Main Business of the House for Today

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 and 2 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House:-

(i) Resolution under the Customs Ordinance
(ii) Resolution under the Appropriation Act


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1500 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Wednesday 18th February 2009.
